Sixteen page written pattern for an amigurumi Triceratops toy with loads of photographs and a diagram to help you create your very own armoured vegetarian beast with feisty frills and horns!
It has taken me two years and numerous attempts to get this design just the way I wanted it so I'm sure you'll find your Triceratops is Tops(!)
You'll need to be able to knit back and forth, in the round, increase, decrease and pick up stitches (although the last is optional as instructions are included for knitting separately and sewing together too). Youtube is an excellent resource if there are any stitches you don't know and I also offer help by email.
I've used worsted (aran) weight yarn and US5 (3.75mm) needles for the one pictured and it is about 9.5" (24cm) long but you could easily use a different weight if you wanted a smaller or larger dino.
You will be able to download the pattern from etsy once you have paid. If you have difficulty doing this please let me know as I can easily email it to you if you prefer.
Sold for personal use only including charitable use.
You can use any payment method accepted by Etsy. If you need to cancel an order please contact me as soon as possible and I will oblige. If you are overseas you are responsible for any import taxes incurred.
Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed.
I offer full refunds upon safe return of your order. If I am at fault I will reimburse return postage costs but if I am not then the buyer is responsible for these. Please contact me beforehand so a course of action can be agreed.
You must return the item in the condition you received it in and you should not expose it to cats or their environment as one member of our family is dangerously allergic. If you have cats, simply keep your returns safely in the packaging they arrived in until you post them back and they will be absolutely fine.
**Please do not ask to return things you have USED. Seriously, that’s not nice!!**
Please do not ask me to combine orders or to apply retrospective discounts. You are agreeing to the sale price when you pay.
No, I’d like you to buy some yarn!
Wholesale prices are 2/3 retail prices plus postage with a minimum purchase of 20 skeins or equivalent weight of yarn.
Almost all my yarn is superwash treated, so you can use the wool cycle on your washing machine, although hand washing is kinder if you have the time.
I choose acid dyes rated “wash fast” or “very wash fast” at 30*C, and I test wash each colourway. Nonetheless it is sensible to wash items separately on the first occasion as with any fibre or garment.
If you put my yarn in on long hot washes with fast spins, harsh detergents and stain remover they will age and fade much faster. This is not my fault, wool is like that, and you make your choices.
